To Do
One of the problems that developers often have is that they lose sight of the content they're supposed to be teaching. So, let's think about the mathematics that could be taught using each tool.
- people don't typically do what they are told, they might do what you want if you ask them a question
- when people learn from feedback they build on the ideas suggested to them and/or ask another question
The Math Tools catalog page will give you an idea of what math others have thought each tool addresses. Think about your students and your experiences in teaching.
Task 2
Please enter your responses to [2a] and [2b] in each of the feedback fields of the URLs below.
[2a] For each of the three tools, list your favorite grade level and list and/or explain what math a student could learn by using it.
[2b] Now let's assume you are communicating with the TRAILS students who have created the tool. Have they missed any opportunities to teach math? Write three questions to ask them about the mathematics addressed in their tool.
[2c] Use the Discussion URL below to think with others about the mathematics addressed by the three tools.
